Michael Lalicki is an artist designer with a Masters of Fine Arts in Sculpture from the University of Pennsylvania. His corporate clients have included the Formica Corporation, IBM, Ferroxcube, Avon, and numerous architectural firms. Artist clients have included Robert Wilson, Martha Graham Dance Company, Ann Hamilton, Jim Jarmusch & Sara Driver, John Turturro, and Robert Ebendorf. His prop work has been seen on Broadway in Matilda, Jekyll and Hyde, Cat on a Hot Tin Roof, Annie Get Your Gun and On Golden Pond.
In addition to exhibiting widely throughout the Hudson Valley and metropolitan New York area, Michael has also shown in Coral Gables, Los Angeles, Cincinnati, London, and Pisa, Italy.
Michael Lalicki is also an educator, who was an in-school artist-in-residence, and for nearly ten years, an Assistant Professor and Set Designer at State University of New York (SUNY) at New Paltz and SUNY Ulster. His set designs have included Grapes of Wrath, Sweeney Todd, Antigone, Our Town, Two Gentlemen of Verona, Blue Window, Jacques Brel, Private Wars, The Robber Bridegroom, and Caucasian Chalk Circle.
In 2022, Michael received the Ulster County Executive's Arts Award for Individual Artist.
